Just a stab in the dark but; Make sure that the midi channel numbers on Trks 9-16 are not on the same channel as your existing drum channel found on whatever channel between trk 1-8. If they are change them to their own respective track number. For example if your drums are on Midi Trk 1, look to ...

Push the following buttons:

Page Select
P3 - Track Parameters

After this look for pitch - then adjust the pitch for each track except for your drum track.

What you did in Global mode is what I do for jamming setting up pitch to 3 or 5 maybe

Good Luck!

Recording from a Korg M3 wkstn into a Korg D16XD!

I'm trying to figure out the best way to record up to 16 tracks from the M3 to D16XD. The below options are what I've come up with for possibilities. Keeping in mind that each track has effects built in already and may be in stereo makes the challenge! M3 has 1 Left and 1 Right output M3 has 4 ...

Sounds like a slight short to ground on either your headphones or your L/R outputs. Do you have it with the headphones disconnected? How about when the headphones are connected and the LR jack outs are unconnected? Have another pair of hphones or output speaker cables?

They really need to include real life examples of the features they're explaining to make it valuable to me. It was like reading a manual with little expansion on the inherent benefits of the explained actions. Of course this would create a huge set of DVDs and the price would increase.

Hey Rob won't the SPDIF do only 2 tracks at a time max? How come you need 2 toslink cables? Is one for digital data feedback control back to the master, meaning that each cable is for one way communication?

Thanks

I'm trying to do the same thing, but using a Korg D16XD as opposed to the D3200.

You are correct about problem 1, you have to buy the extended memory board to load ALL the new sounds, but you can unload some of the sounds loaded and load the ones you want such as the stereo grand piano by pushing the media button and checking for the proper tab at the bottom. Sorry I don't have ...

I'm pretty happy using KRK RP6 active monitors - 6" woofers and tweeter - power is ample would be nice to have more bass though, but that was stretching the budget as it was! High Quality for about $350-$400. Check Ebay for deals.

Neon Rain and Reflection of Dawn seem to be corrupted somehow, they wouldn't play at a constant speed unless that was what you're after! Liked sound effects on Factory.

Only if Slider 4's maxed out at the top which is sustain. Could you have done that maybe... Otherwise all's fine with Ver 2 Expanded.
