FS : Korg EMX-1 - UK.
In pretty much mint condition. With Smart Media card, original box, manual & PSU. Also currently fitted with JJ/Tesla ECC803S tubes - these are a more expensive tube than the standard & produce a much better, clearer tone. Will supply the original ECC83 tubes as well. This machine has been owned ...

that is wierd.... :? I Guess the fact that yours are the gold plated versions shouldnt really make a massive difference....?? maybe its all about internal gain structure too....Perhaps my patterns are all more uniformly 'quiet' in terms of individual track levels, meaning I can drive the tube gain ...

ok...so I put the JJ ECC803S into my MX last night - very interesting !! They basically dont give you any overdrive / distortion effect at !! with the ECC833s in before, I used to have the tube level at about 10 - 11 'o' clock to get a nice compressed effect without running into actual distortion ...

I've only just noticed  that following my MX going back to Korg Uk for repair it actually came back with JJ ECC883 tubes in it ( I think they were Electro-Harmonix originally, but Korg replaced the tubes as part of the service, so they must be using JJ's now )....I obviously hadnt noticed from ...

I've started using up synth parts for drums ( I'm using the EMX alongside an Elektron Monomachine so I dont need too many EMX synth parts anyway ) but simply by using the PCM samples as a part rather than routing the drums in like Ruso ( though I can see this is a cool idea too ). This has a couple ...

this has got me wondering about all sort of other tubes....
