I was trying to somehow route the output of AL-1 into MOD-7. Ultimately I wanted to set one of the VPM oscillators to Waveshaper mode, and shape AL-1’s output with it.
Doesn’t really seem possible in program mode, so I was trying to use a combi. AL-1 on channel 1, sending its output a few different targets such as IFX1, the record and fx busses. Then MOD-7 on channel 2. In the program itself I used the matrix to route audio in to VPM OSC 1, and OSC 1 to one of the outputs. Set the Audio in for the program to receive from the various sources I set for CH1 in the Combi (IFX1, record bus 1, etc).
Can’t seem to get this to work. MOD-7 never has any signal out.
Anyone done this or have suggestions?

Try having a look at these two topics for your solution:

I'm going to assume that you don't need to make any program level changes to make this routing; it all happens in the combi itself on the EXi audio page P2-6.danatkorg wrote:You can do this easily in a Combi. For example:
* AL-1 on Timbre 1, routed to any non-sounding bus (e.g. Rec 1/2)
* MOD-7 on Timbre 2, set EXi Input (Combi P:2-6) to match the bus of Timbre 1
