trinity no sound problems

trinity no sound problems

have followed other similar posts and now suspect that the volume slider has gone.....am getting nothing out of 1R and 2R sockets but signal out of 3 and 4(when edited)
have re soldered 1 and 2 played around with connectors and pins etc
the volume slider has no effect
is there a way of testing this with minimal equipment before i order one from the usa
thanks for any suggestions
