Retirement career ideas

Post by Lenster »

Hey all, I enjoy being semi-retired and working nearly every weekend as a keyboard player. My town has more than a dozen bars that hire live bands on weekends. The environment is great because all the local bands have friendly relations and we all support each other when possible. If no gig tonite, then I go out to see friends play. It's a cool little world.

So my other life right now is a limo driver. The work is part time and sometimes the hours just do not work well with a musicians hours. It is seasonal and sporadic.

I am asking my Korg User friends here for some ideas. I want to look for a different line of work for the day time that does not mess up my musician career. Looking for something with steady and predictable hours. Maybe even with some dotted line in music or computers or dealing with people.

If you have any ideas or suggestions for this 61 year old cat, please chime in. Thanks in advance ! - Lenster

How about part time at a large music store?

Piano / Music Lessons perhaps. You could make up your own work schedule with it.

Male gigolo for the older ladies.

That's my plan anyway.
