volca bass effects processor suggestions..

Post by todtechno »

I'm looking to process the volca bass through an effects pedal. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts/suggestions. I do not play the bass and therefore don't know a whole lot about the types of pedals. I play techno on my volcas.

thanks in advance

Hi todtechno I would recommend boss delay DD7 and reverb pedal

also for more crazy effects phaser / flanger, fuzz, and octave pedal

brands boss is the best for bass effects

brands to avoid joyo or cheap knock offs work ok for higher sounds but do not work for bass.

let me know what you get.

thanks for the tips dog. I ended up grabbing a tech21 SansAmp. I really love the sounds it helps create but I have found myself using it mostly with the volca keys and now using the volca bass as the lead (i make mostly minimal techno/acid). I also use the parallel output to fade between the two in my live mix which helps create some subtle variation. [/url]

I've been using the Monotron delay with my Volca's it costs peanuts and the delay effect is pretty wild (if quite lofi and fuzzy)

Another good cheap option is the Kaosspas Mini 2 (dropped in price since they release the "Sample" version) I've been using the reverb on that to good effect

Zoom pedals are great...i have the G3 but the B3 and 60b (i think) are aimed at bass sounds

Also try joyo, biyang, and celine for great chinese clones of famous pedals
