if vca envelope clicking on the tribe bothers you (sometimes apparent when using muted sounds) here, courtesy of Dave Bradbury aka Haxxor Logic aka Squidfanny (youtube), is a way to lessen (but not completely remove) the vca clicks in the Monotribe. it's a simple addition of a single capacitor, for those who are handy with soldering electronics:
I'm trying to tackle the terrible Monotribe click - before seeing this post, I watched a video someone posted that suggested connecting a switch with both 2.2uF and 10 uF caps between the base of Q24 and ground. I tried a 4.7uF cap there and 90% of the click went away. The above solution using a 4.7uF cap gets rid of 98+% of the click, and I can't discern any affect to the waveforms.
However, actually soldering the cap on looks like a nightmare...
