Switching between patches during performance?

Hi,
I just got my Kronos 88 recently, and I'm wondering if there is a way other than using a foot pedal to easily go from one patch to the next during performance? I found that the foot pedal is very sensitive, so I sometimes ended up jumping 2 patches instead of going to the next one. Is there a way to assign either a note on the keyboard (like the lowest note) or a knob/slider/etc. to be the 'go to next patch' function?

I use the karma scene buttons for changing programs/combis all the time. See Stephen Kay's site for the wiki article using Karma scene buttons to change sounds w/o cutoff of sounds.

the up or "increment" button should do that.

I'm with Andrewt. As long as you're on any kind of program/combi selection screen, including the setlist, up/down (or the value dial) lets you move through patches.

Sander/Andrew,
I was hoping to find a way to not have to lift my hands off the keyboard, because I'm playing a show that has very quick changes -- in many cases, I need to make an almost instantaneous change from one patch to the next. So I was hoping I could somehow set the lowest key on the keyboard to perform the 'next patch' function...

You need a better foot pedal. All of us need very fast switching. I use two damper pedals. One for the damper function and the other one for the patch change. You have to find one pedal that fits you. I never experienced two changes at one press.

I use a BOSS FS5U and I've never had a problem with it double triggering. It's what Jordan Rudess uses live as well.

I just use a cheap square sustain pedal and have never had any problems when using it for program chnages. I do recommend mounting your pedals onto a board so they don't slide around. Velcro works wonders!

I've got the Boss FS-5U and can't use it because of the same problem, advances 2 programs sometimes...

I have a Boss FS-5U switch and, while it worked a treat on my Korg TR, I am experiencing the same issues as Scott.

On my Kronos2 it's very hit and miss - sometimes it moves up one patch in the Setlist, other times it jumps 2. Ideally the footswitch is the perfect solution for hands-free transitions, but 'm now at the point where I'm avoiding the footswitch because of the risk of getting an unwelcome surprise. I thought there might be a sensitivity control on the keyboard for the footswitch but haven't found one.
