User drum pattern?

I am trying to create a usable drum pattern to save on my Krome 61. I was able to record and edit it in the sequencer (on Ch. 10 with a drum kit) and I can even view it in the "piano roll" and it looks and sounds fine - but when I follow the instructions in the manual (in HTML at http://www.pdfmanuales.com/manuals/1598 ... l?page=107) it plays fine in that mode - but when I go into Prog or Combi mode, it just plays the bass drum and ignores the rest. It sounds terrible!

What am I doing wrong?

I would also be fine if I could extract a drum pattern from MIDI files created on the PA3X from existing styles as well, but for some reason this conversion to drum pattern seems not to do what I need it to.
