Sustain pedal in Style Record?

I am trying to use my sustain pedal while recording a piano track for a new style, and, though I hear the sustain effect as I play in live in Style Record mode, it seems to be stripping out the sustain effect as it saves the input data.

The same issue seems to exist in the sequencer.

Any idea how or why I can fix this?

I'm using a Yamaha sustain pedal connected to the Damper port.

I don't remember ever using this in STYLE record - I will give it a try and get back to you...
it should work!!!!
