I laughed at the comment that it can do "virtual digital".

Do they even have a web presence to explain this monster? I know there was a detailed interview over at http://greatsynthesizers.com/en/intervi ... schmidt-e/

Not that I know of, that interview is the only thing I can find too.

Hopefully they start something up soon so it can get more presence in the market.

I now have the urge to rush out and empty my bank account! :P That is one awesome piece of kit. Imagine if it went into full unison, that would be 8 oscillators, 4 voices... = 32 oscillators! That makes a memorymoog seem naff.

In Unison mode, AL-1 and MOD-7 can provide something in the region of 100 - 300 oscillators (depending on the configuration) !! And unlike many other VA synths, these need not be phase linked so they sound like several hundred oscillators layered.

Still - a stunning synth all the same. Great to see they are producing them, even if only on a made to order basis.

I have yet to hear a demo of a Buchla that consists of something more than blips or bleeps.
