PA3X to control PA1X ?

I have both a PA3X and a PA1X. Is there a way to have the PA3x's Variation change to trigger the corresponding variation change on the PA1X? For example, if I choose "Var 4" on the PA3X, I would like it to trigger via Midi a change to "Var 4" on the PA1X. I can't seem to figure out how to do this (or if it is even possible).
