Wavedrum and Macbook Pro

Post by paddy6666 »

Hey guys. I am new here. I will buy my first wavedrum soon but I was wondering how can I connect it to my macbook pro the is only one slot for the mic in the mac. Should I get an additional sound module for the laptop or I can connect the wavedrum directly to it?

Thank you for your help!

Hi Paddy

you would be best to use an audio interface of some description, the cheapest option would be a USB based one - a low latency USB2 interface would be your cheapest option.

Actually, the MacBook Pro will accept a stereo input. All you need in some combo that gets you dual mono 1/4" to stereo 1/8 inch. The easiest to find would likely be l/r RCA to stereo 1/8" and then add two RCA female to 1/4" male.
