Question on Splitting and Octaves
Hi everyone. I am a newbie to the keyboard and to the forum. I understand how to change an octave when I am in Program mode and I understand how to split a board while I am in Combi mode. What I'm struggling with is splitting the board in Program mode with 2 different sounds and adjusting the octaves to split where both sides are the same octaves. Is this possible in either Program Mode or Combi Mode? I'd like to be able to do it in Program Mode if it is possible.

You just need to adjust the pitch of the timbre (in combi) or oscillator (in program) by multiples of 12. In program mode there is also an octave setting for each oscillator, in the Osc Basic page I think.

splitting in program mode
Thanks, i will check that out. Do you know if you can split the board in program mode, or is that just a combi thing?
I think you can only do velocity and layering in Program mode. Combi mode is designed for 'multi instrument' setups like splits. Whereas a Program is more representative of a self-contained instrument.
It's partly due to technical limitations that probably no longer apply but have been carried forwards over generations of instruments, and partly enforces a certain workflow and sound design style.
