Kronos restore DVDs

Post by Rosen Sound »

I am working on an emergency kit for when I'm on the road with my gear. It seems the one thing I'm missing is the kronos restore DVDs. I accidentally misplaced them.

If anyone happens to have the correct restore dvd, please host them somehow, let me download them, and I will host it for all to have after.

Now heres the catch, the system version must be at least 1.0.4 (please correct me if im wrong Dan) This is because earlier versions have issues with RAM. obviously i would update it to the latest software after restoring a potentially corrupted OS.

You can find the version number by looking on either the print on the DVDs, or by plugging a USB cd drive into your kronos with the first disc in it, boot your kronos, and read the restore version.

Thanks to anyone who is willing to help me, and the community out!

contact Korg USA. They can send you a set of restore dvds
** KORG Product Support Contacts **
(they support BOTH hardware and software)

Korg USA Product support -- https://www.korgusa.com/contactus (For fastest service I would suggest calling them on the phone)

Outside the U.S. contact your Korg Country Distributor -- https://www.korg.com/us/corporate/distributors/

I would really like to see them in the download section myself as ISO’s as this question is very likely to come up often a few years from now.

I might look into that possibility.

Regards
SHarp.

On the same subject... when you get any kind of a data disk for a keyboard , software, etc, but yourself one of those old school cases that hold cds. you can find them at dollar stores, etc. label it and then store all of your disks in them. The case is a little harder to misplace than a sleeve or jewel case. I have quite a few of these, and one of them is dedicated to my Kronos, as well as my Triton, music software, etc. Store them in a location that is safe and easy to find. I recently used the Kronos disks and at first I wasn't sure where they were until I spotted my case labeled "Kronos". Sure enough. Glad I had the foresight to do this when I got the Kronos.

A download version of the ISO would be useful, particularly one that enables to restore OS2 directly without having to go via 1.0.4 and updates.

Try a little harder and you might get a clue ! if you still don't get it , I'll give a you little help ...
First of all it's Korg's property and nobody is allowed to publish their own software without permission ,
second it's my property as a Korg's client and I made an exception in order to help in robbinhood's issue ,
who is also a legal owner !
Therefore "thank you" issue resolved properly , deleting URLs , thanks to You !

Ok.
I thought this was KorgForums and hosted by Korg USA even if independently moderated and probably my Kronos 61 is still proprietary of Korg... they sure can't control the download with a serial check or the Operators here through them...
Yeah, i'm simple....
I'll try not to get a kick from James or Pepperpotty but you can imagine what's on the tip of my thong...!
Yeah, shove the blame this way, i can have it... as with that b***s*** password would hold off any non proprietary owners in some way (and/or posting of a password'd file, (proprietary for personal use) would not infringe any laws on it's own.)
Thank you for the monologue.

Wouldn't it be better to take the SSD out and clone it to a spare? I'm just thinking that a failure sufficient to need a restore might also require a new drive.

You may be right. But it's absolutely pointless to affront somebody who is trying to help and is not even a Korg employee.
Motic's statement was not very objective - and IMHO not helpful at all...
It's not about what he said, but how he said it. :?
