Monotribe Tempo Control

Post by AfxTwn »

Hi, I wondered if it's possible to control the tempo on a Monotribe with a metronome such as the Korg MA-1?

I already have the Korg Sync Control app for my iPod Touch but I'd like to be able to use other music apps on that instead and I can't do this if it's being used primarily to control the Monotribe's tempo.

I see that the MA-1 has a headphone port so presumably I could just connect that to the sync-in port on the Monotribe and it would work in the same way that my iPod Touch and the Sync Control app do?

Thanks for any help.

There should be a metronome that would work that creates the right pitch and rhythm. I just use a drum machine app on my old Nexus One phone, with a rim shot for every count and works great. I looked into a lot of hardware metronomes, but none have .1 bpm increments. Even all the metronome apps for Android are without .1 bpm increments. I need that to be able to mix my other stuff(KO2, MiniKP2, SR1).
