R3 Master Volume not working as expected
Hello my friends...
I use my R3 connected to my band's pa.
Everything always worked great but now when I put master volume to ZERO the r3 is still very loud.
With EVERY patch...
What's going on?
What can I try?

What output(s) from the R3 are you using? What kind of cables? Is the mixer input a line input or mic input? Does the mixer have a mic/line switch for the input jack? What is the gain level for the preamp on the channel? Is there any difference in volume when you change the main volume level? If the volume changes, is it smooth or inconsistent?
Based on your description, the problem is the potentiometer itself, there is a metal brush that touches a resistance strip. If that brush loses contact, then it will appear to have no effect. There could be debris or oil inside that is breaking the contact. There is special silicone spray for cleaning and lubing pots. The cleaner must be non-conductive or it will affect the resistance of the pot. If that doesn't work, then the pot will need to be replaced.
Maybe you should not buy things that are made in China. This is the second post where you have complained about "made in China". Keep hitting it into the wall when your problem returns to fix your issue.stopi wrote:I have this problem too. It appears randomly. It's hardware problem caused for me by "Made in China" label. Sometimes hiting to the wall helps. I'm going to open it and seek problem on the board.
