Dammit, Jim! I'm a guitar player, not a programmer!

Well, actually, I *am* a programmer, but I'm a little lost here.

I just bought the MS and it's pretty fun to play with, but I need to go a little deeper and learn how to program it. I'm looking for a tutorial on how to do something similar to the following to sequence some backing tracks:

Use a single pattern to play a sample a specific number of times, let's say 12.

Or, even better...

Use a single pattern to play the first sample 8 times, the second sample twice, and the third sample 6 times.

The samples would be ones that I've edited on my PC. I would also prefer to do create the patterns using the editor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
