HELP ASAP!!!

Post by 1jordyzzz »

ok here's the case...
finally arrive at jakarta a brand new kronos 88 serial number 3344...
is it save to buy at that range of serial numbers?? they told me it was brand new but i keep thinking that the brand new without faulty keybed goes from 3600...

I NEED HELP VERY FAST FROM EVERYBODY, WHETHER SOMEBODY FROM KORG OR A MEMBER OF THE FORUM...

IS THAT KRONOS HAS NO FAULTY KEYBED???

because if i delay 2 days, then IT WILL GET SOLD TO SOMEBODY, AND I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER 3-4 MONTHS FOR THE NEW ONE TO ARRIVE...

HELP!!!
Love my kronos 88 :D
Love my yamaha psr s910 as well

Korg Kronos 88, Yamaha PSR s910, Korg C720, Yamaha DTX 520, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, a pair of Yamaha HS80 in (soon not to be) an unproperly treated room..

The >3600 serial numbers being ok is not confirmed.
Also most Kronosses with <3600 serial numbers are correct too, but it is a choice you have to make. You can't test it in the store?

Kind regards,

Michel

That's difficult then ... however there are not many Kronosses without problems. Also, in case there is a problem you can let it fix for free which probably takes much less than months (actually a few weeks probably).

I would try to call Korg directly and see if they will tell you if that keybed is the new style. :) :)

Relax, I have K88 #420 and though it had a bad memory chip (since replaced/upgraded), the keybed had performed flawlessly.

There are no hard numbers and it WAS a very hot topic, luckily most are already fixed and from factory they are fixed recently.

However Dan has the best remark: contact the distributor in case of problems.
