Question on Korg Koas and Electribe Products..

Post by Picaroon2012 »

I am wondering what the difference are between the Kaos Pad Quad and the KP3? Just generally speaking. It sounds like the Quad is an improvement on the Kp3 but yet its less expensive, so I'm confused.

Also, if I use an electribe together with a KP3 what (inexpensive) method can I use to sequence/record songs in multitracks? I'd prefer a hardware solution if possible.

Thanks!

Greetings,

Product Spec's.

KORG KP QUAD

KORG KP3

Generally speaking both are Effects units, but in my opinion the KP3 is so much more. (For what i want to use it for.)
Reading the specs should help you decide which is the right product for you.

Welcome, but this is not the place to ask questions. You need to post in the Kaoss section.

But I'll go ahead and provide a brief answer here. The KP3 has sampling and looping, while the KPQuad only has effects with no sampling/looping. The Quad has some looping effects, but that is not the same thing as track looping. Neither of them will sequence or record songs. The KP3 records 4 audio loops of up to 16 beats, but not whole songs.
