doesn't make any sense to me, resampling is one thing but when you want to mangle samples live it's just rediculous for samples not to be able to access fx in slice mode/

resampling
theres your solution. Resample the bank you want to slice onto an unused bank. Then you can slice it with the effect on.

If it's so ridiculous you can build your own KP3 and write a better OS that can slice and apply FX together. Gotta be easy, right?

i.e. maybe there's a good reason. These things usually come down to how many features can be crammed into the hardware without making the unit too expensive or taking too long to develop.
