The TEX does not support Karma, so there is no Karma info/sounds in PCGs for the TEX.

You can freely exchange all pcgs between any of the Triton series and the Karma though. It'll just ignore any Karma/Arpeggiator settings on the machines that don't support them.

The Karma's sounds should be mostly the same as what you already have on the TEx. I know definitely the A & B banks are the same as the original Triton ROM/preload except perhaps for some minor tweaks.

Main difference would be in the combis which use KARMA technology to generate grooves/riffs/arpeggios. Seeing as the TEx doesn't have KARMA technology, these combis wouldn't be very useful.

What exactly is it from the Karma Workstation that you're after?

hi x trade thx

heard some sounds on the Karma and wanted to get some of those. Not necessarily the arpps and so on but just some combis and or programs that the TEX doesnt have

would that make any sense or its not a bother inspite of?

Hi Kabuchi I think you can do it manually according to this link on ehow:

I hope it could be useful.

Its handy to note that the Korg UK site has a more thorough download section than the US version.

http://www.korg.co.uk/support/downloads/karma_dl.php

Above link is for KARMA factory discs (2 versions).

If you have the correct EXB expansion boards ( I think #6 and #9 ) installed there are also some "KARMAfied" PCG banks that can be downloaded for these as well -- worth a look.

Also, if you have not yet done so, check out Steven Kay's official KARMA site for several banks worth of combis and new KARMA patterns [purchase only].

And if you're really digging the Karma functions and the ways it can alter the sound, there is always the Karma Triton software, also from his site. It will only work with the Triton actually hooked up to the computer, but it'll duplicate the exact Karma fx.
