One week with the Kaossilator Pro, Im hooked

Words can not describe how much I love the K-Pro. Still finding my feet, but decided to see what would happen when I hooked up the Monotribe...
Im not a musician, just a dabbler, so please forgive any shortcomings.

Pretty cool! I like it.
Big improvement on your first try with it that you have on soundcloud.

ha! Yes... fresh out the box is what I should have called that one.
Im looking at what people are doing with the Kaossilator pad (the red one), and wondering if that will add to the experience.
Its all quite daunting. Back in 85/86 when I was 15, I started to buy Sound On Sound. The first issue had me hooked. I thought seriously about pursuing work in a studio, and the magazine just inspired me. But then college happened, I missed a few issues and then just stopped reading / tinkering. I picked up an issue last month here in Canada and was just blown away with how much things have changed since 86.
I had this crazy notion that I would want to sound design my film I am working on, and in order to do that, I would need to get up to speed, hence the recent magazine purchase... but when I saw the KP I just knew I had to have it. Not for the film, mind you... just for fun.

well mine is one of the original electribes, the em-1...as a drum machine, it's incredibly easy to use and program on the fly...the newer emx and esx have WAY more functionality.
Thanks for subscribing, I didn't realize it was you! I follow you and your sister on matrixsynth and some other blogs too!

I just bought the kp3 a couple of days ago after having the kaossilator pro for a few weeks, and I have to say that WOW! they work great together. I use the Kaossilator Pro to create some of the sounds (which you can create a ton of new sounding ones with overdubing and the gate arp) and store loops then transfer over to the KP3 to add effects and such. Still in the early stages of learning with all of the possibilites of these cool machines.doublecee wrote: Im looking at what people are doing with the Kaossilator pad (the red one), and wondering if that will add to the experience.
Also, if you have a look at the Meteor Multi Track app for the iPad, it now has a midi editor which allows me to record and playback stuff from the two pads. Still figuring all the ins and outs on that. Awesome so far.
