how to assign drums to a pad so i can play some percussion?

touch chord assign button. press the drums sound on the keys. press the pad u want it on.

1. did you select on a track , a drums/percussion program ?
2. go to page select > dt/xy/ctrls > pads 1-4 or 5-8 and check if they are on the right midi channel (if you put on the 7 track the percussion kit and it is on the 7 midi channel you should choose the same midi channel for pads.

You can only do this with the Local set to ON. If it's OFF and you're echoing a DAW it won't work... so just disconnect the USB for a second, set the local to ON and then do your chord assign.
