Hi,
Is anyone using Kurzweil ...umm..samples (?) with Korg Triton? It has to be samples, right? The K2000 or K2500 prog files are not readable?
If you use K2000 samples, are they any good? Is there a collection of demos somewhere?
I feel like I haven't tapped into this resource at all, mostly because I don't have a fast way to load samples. I know there is a US company who make these SD memory stick readers for Triton and that would be a good way to start I guess. But they are quite expensive to order to Europe.
Also, will the sampled K2000 sounds from Triton sound the same as the ones coming from K2000?
Anyway, thanks.
Triton + Kurzweil format?

Use a SCSI Card Reader
You can put a SCSI Card Reader drive in your Triton or use an external one (we sell both). That is a very easy way to get samples into the Triton. Because the Triton uses a DOS-compatible format, it is easy to load wav or aiff samples from a computer to a CF card using a USB card reader. Then, using the SCSI drive, you load the samples from the CF card into your Triton's memory.
I have a document that explains how to create programs on the Triton from loaded samples - it is here:

It's called "Triton Sampling Tutorial". You can find out more about the SCSI Card Reader drives we sell by visiting our website (URL in sig).
