Amp Model Bug??

Post by bkeys123 »

Hi. I am a new SV-1 owner and noticed what seems to be a bug. If I turn on the SV-1 and am playing the factory default Rhodes patch (Bank 1/Sound 1) it sounds great. The Amp Model Comes up as #1 with Drive set at #2. If I change from the default Amp model #1 to #2 it still sounds good. If I then select back to Amp Model #1 the output volume is much quieter than it was when I first turned on the unit at the drive level of 2. If I change the Drive to #3 I get the volume back but it is much grittier. Turning up the master volume also does it but it does not sound the same.. (much more hiss , etc). If I press the drive knob to get it back to default I notice that it comes up in the #3 slot. The only way I can get the original sound back with good volume etc. is to select a different patch and then return to the first one. Does anyone else experience this??

Thanks in advance!!

Amp Model Bug

Post by blueoakland »

Hi,

I noticed a similar problem. I posted the following on March 7: "When I select the organ amp effect with the setting at 1, it initially the overdrive is excessive. If I then select Amp 1 and then switch back to Organ, the overdrive is much less than it was at first. Is this something that others have experienced ? Is this a problem with just my SV-1 or is this a universal issue ? Any way to fix it ?"
