Korg M1: Change Joystick effects

Post by sardonis »

Hello dear synth friends,

I'm the proud owner of a Korg M1 and finally made some time to program some effects.

But I'm kinda stuck at the moment. I've been browsing the manual a few times but I can't seem to find if I can put other effects in the Joystick..

I would like to have a reverb effect when pushing the joystick up and a delay effect when pressing it downwards.

Is that even possible with M1?

Thanks!

Sadly not.
M1 was bolted together in a hurry, and real-time effect control wasn't though of, in fact it took a while for such measures to come into play. Think the Wavestation allows real-time control of effects using controllers, such as the mod wheel.

You can use the pedal inputs to control effect balance, but you might need two 'volume pedals' one in each, as you can effect the balance in effect 1 or 2 only.

^^ Like he says - not possible on M1.

The T3 (M1's very big brother) is exactly the same.
