hi dear all, I am new here, I request some help from professionals.
I installed logic pro7 in G5. But I am not able to record musics/tracks from my external professional keyboard (PA80), it has MIDI in OUT everything. I tried to connect the "m audio USB MIDI" interface but no idea about to track record in Logoc pro7. So please advice.

Thanks in advance

OK - quite easy this one
Inside logic, you have 2 methods of getting MIDI data in and out of the package.
A few things to to first.
1. Check that the MIDI connectors are connected to the right ports on the keyboard(!) (midi IN connector to midi IN - same for the OUT)
2. Inside the Mac - go to MIDI/Audio utilities. (Applications/Utilities/MIDIAudio Setup)
View the "show MIDI setup" - your interface should be showing here. (I'm assuming that the M-Audio had drivers and you've installed them)
3. Inside Logic - just load up a new song, and get any software instrument loaded up. When you play your keyboard the "input" data on Logic's transport *should* be generating numbers/data.
You should also see the audio meters bouncing on the plugin track inside Logic - you should also be hearing it!!!
This will indicate that you're MIDI is happening!
I'll PM you with a document on how to set it up - can't attach files here.
but it is pretty ease
