Problem with sounds in sequencer/song play

Post by Yappo »

Hi, newbie here. I'm trying to play a .mid file from a floppy disk on the Triton (I've tried in both song play mode and sequencer) but when I load it up all the sounds/programs/whatever you call them for each track are completely wrong. When I try to change them, it only changes the sound for the first beat of the measure, and when it goes to the next beat it goes back to the screwed up sounds. Now, am I going to have to go through every single beat changing all the sounds for every track each time over and over (which I REALLY don't want to do), or is there some way to permanently change the sounds for the whole duration of the thing? I hope someone can help, this is very frustrating...

Also, it's much worse in the sequencer. In song play, it has the general midi sounds (but I want to change them to other nicer sounds), but in the sequencer mode the sounds are completely random and unrelated to what they should be.

select the soundpatch that you want to use, then, press the [menu button]
in the touchscreen hit [midi filter] and set [program change] off/unchecked..
set program change off/uncheck for all other tracks that you wish to remain
the same throughout the song.....
