'unformatted' floppy message

Post by mikelepap »

discs not recognized, not even OS discs. FDD works as it can save files to disc and perform format. If disc formatted by keyboard, recognized ok but not from pc. As a result no files can be uploaded. Reset performed, no cure.
Any suggestions?

Hi

This is a common error on all kind of floppy drives, I'm amazed that you don't have this problem before.
Maybe it's the floppy drives or the disc ro both.. sometimes could be random non format recognition even if you just formatted the disc.. try the same disc on other floppy drive/PC.

This is not very helpfull but its really common. Not all problems are caused by software and Floppy Drives are a really susceptible to fail hardware.

Regards.
Alvaro.
Nice things to do before asking:
Read the manual, search on the Forum and internet and try by yourself.
You will learn a lot more and faster.
