Convince me not to sell this thing

Post by shanny »

I have the 61-key Triton, basic, had it since 2001. I think I have done all I can do with it and thinking about moving on. I write my own songs on it, strictly sequencer, no live musicians or computer software. Here's the thing - I NEED GUITAR SOUNDS! My Music Maker 15 software Christmas present has better guitar sounds than this thing. Are there:

1. Expansion boards
2. Rack mounts
3. Guitar effects processors
4. Upgrades

or...something that I can hook to this keyboard that will give me real sounding guitar sounds?? I have heard it all before - keyboards were not meant to sound like Eddie Van Halen and they were designed for dance music, not rock, but what can I do? And if you know, does the Korg M3 guitar sounds have more realistic-sounding patches?? HELP! I would like to keep my Triton.....

Go have a listen to a M3. It's got far better Guitar sounds.
You might also consider just getting a Roland Fantom Rack, or the Yamaha Motif Rack. Both offer great guitar sounds.

Regards
Sharp.
