Karma GE Category Names - they are disappeared.

Post by Westnik »

There were some names such as "Arpeggio", "Base", "Guitar Strum" - now they are KarmaCategory1 - KarmaCategory11.

Do you know any conjuration to get them back?

I tried to reinstall M3 firmware - it did not help.

Two month ago I reinstall Korg m3 firmware and M3 Editor and problem was solved.

I was funny that Korg UK support did not want to help at all:

I am living in UK but bought Korg M3 in www.Thomann.de

Hi
I am sorry to advise you that due to time constraints we can only offer support to people who have purchased product in the UK or Ireland as stated on our support page.
Korg UK Support

I can not use German support, because I do not understand German.

After Cubase 5 was installed and M3 editor was reinstalled again Karma GEs names disappeared again.

And they are disappeared from Korg M3 itself, not from M3 Editor.

It sounds like the editor is transmitting its own factory set to the M3 at start up.

I don't have the M3. But I think you should try to disable the auto load feature and/or tell it to pull down the full set from the M3. it should be a two-way sync thing where first it gets all the data from the M3, and then transmits changes back when you change things.

If you have made any of your own programs etc I have a feeling you would see these disappearing too?

Sometimes we have to understand that certain KORG dealers are just private
parties operating in the Area. If it says KORG UK it doesnt mean that they have
to do anything with KORG and they have the right to deny Tech Support to
people who havent bought a Keyboard from them. Many people and bussiness
excercise that right, which i feel or would feel the same. Why would i help you
with a product which i sell too but you bought it from my competitor???
Ask them...

Very logical! Ha-ha.

Who can I address my problem? Roland UK? Yamaha? or Saddam Hussein?

If I bought second hand? If I use to live in France and moved?

It is very Logical...maybe they are just using the name of KorgUK.
KetronUSA is KetronUSA, right? I know them personally and i work for them
from time to time...but still, they are only a private owned company and they
wont help you for a product thats not bought from them...wanna try?
And yes, they represent Ketron in the USA...same things, isnt it?
KORG USA is a different thing, it is owned by KORG and has to do EVERYTHING
with KORG JAPAN, thats where the orders come from, Korg UK maybe has
nothing to do with KORG and the orders come only from the owner.
My own website says i provide Tech Support for all kinds of machine but right
under that says for customers who buy my products...is it more Logical now???
More examples? My friend Karim has a KORGPA500OR.COM website, this websites
name is also KORG FORUMS and none of them has NOTHING! to do with Korg.
Should we hold them responsible too???

Westnik,

If you phone Thomann they speak English very well and will assist you and put you in contact with their Korg repair center. Click the English flag on their web site.

Best regards,
Rob
