Rewiring Exp-2

Hi,

I have the Korg Exp-2 expression pedal. However it is not compatible with my current keyboard (Novation SL Mk II).
To make it compatible, I've read that I need to exchange the tip and ring connection on the PL jack inside the pedal (unless I build an adapter or buy a new pedal).

So I opened the pedal, and I saw that there are actually 2 black wires connected to the ring part of the PL jack. One wire is coming from the pot and the other coming from a screw near the pot. Should I be moving both of these wires to the tip, or only the one coming from the pot ?

Never mind, I got confused between the tip and the sleeve.
