Error on OS 1.0.6 upgrade

Hello Extremers,

Recently I downloaded the OS 1.0.6 from the KORGs official website, however the moment I Press hold the 'Enter Locate' at startup with the CF card containing only the 5 files of the latest OS, 'Media Type Error' messege appears on the screen. I even tried upgrading using a USB device, still i get the same error messege.

Please assist me.

Use a CF card - formated in extreme - better one with less than 2 GB.
Have only the OS files in the Card.

Im having the same error issue, trying to update from ver 1.2 to 1.6....so does the triton to pc via USB option not work at all? And how did u go with the compact flash? I dont own a compact flash player, is it a standard card or a specific one?

It is a standard CF card you get from computer shop or camera store.

Preferably SCANDISK brand.

Umm, when did 1.0.6 come out? I see no mention of it on the support site for Extreme I must be going blind

And I didn't need or use a CF card to do my last update. I connected using USB and used Media mode, worked without a hitch.
