Audio Kontrol 1

I was wondering what some opinions are about the Audio Kontrol 1. I was thinking about trading in my alesis multimix 8 mixer for the Audio Kontrol. I do not use more than two audio inputs at a time, and the midi input and output are very appealing since I have the microkorg. I was really wondering how the audio quality is. The Alesis mixer always gives me hiss when I record with it and it is very annoying. I also wanted to know how the latency is involving live performance. The size of the Audio Kontrol would make it very nice to use when I begin live shows.
