KP3 - Some Questions

Post by 2stepsteve »

Hey all

I have bought a KP3 and it should be delivered next week.

Have a couple of questions about sampling, I understand that you can have upto 4 samples playing at any one time. But how are they loaded exactly? Does it work by loading a bank of 4 at a time or are they loaded indivudally into A, B, C, D? What happens if you load another while others are playing, do the others keep playing?

The manual is frankly a joke! It is so difficult for someone to read it and understand what the KP3 is capable of.

Many thanks

You can load a bank of 4 samples A-D or load them individually.

Either load process stops is going to stop the sound the very second you enter the menu for loading.

Thanks for the answer subvert, though the answer is such a shame! How about sampling on the fly via line in? Will that stop current playing samples?

You can sample or resample (recording sample that the KP3 is playing back with effects back to another sample) without stopping the sound.

Any of the [SHIFT] controls (buttons 1-8 ) will stop sample play back. Pressing [SHIFT] with pad motion, the sampling button, the slider or A-D will not stop playback (granted that you have the 2.0 operating system)
Wait... What?
