Pa 800 problem

i have problem with my Pa800,my programs are distorted and sounds scratchy whats the problem?
p.s some programs like piano,el piano and some sax are sounding normal,but the other factory and user programs are like crazy
i checked my ram it seems ok
any idea? :cry:

Hi Bejhan,

Don't know what he problem is, perhaps somebody else does. If not, try to format your Pa800 en relaod the OS. How-to is descibed in the forum. It's no major operation...

Thanks Kor i have already done that,everything tryed even nand format,my pa800 is brand new 1 month im using it,i have experience with keyboards but this is amazing its not possible after format and installing os most of the factory programs still distorted and sounds scratch.The last thing that i want to try is to pull up baterry(if pa800 have)and put it again.any opinion? :!: :!: :?: :?: :?: :idea:

There is no battery in Pa800! No need to open your instrument bejhan :roll: Did you ask your dealer?

Thanks for help iaoranaemaeva but i dont now what to do,im from macedonia we dont have korg service here,and i buyed my pa800 from dealer which didn gave me Warranty :!:
now my keyboard is opened i pull the ram now and waiting for help,i dont have info about ram model

IMHO, before changing (or trying to change) the RAM - which won't necessarily fix the problem, I fear - you should make further tests, because there is at least one good news: you said some factory sounds are good (piano, el. piano). First, I suggest you copy a "bad" factory sound to a user bank and check if the copy is bad too, then repeat this process for other sounds at other locations etc.

is dangerous if i try to power up keyboard without ram just to test my factory sounds,

ok thanks again,triton series could work without ram,i have experience with them but with pa series no its different,i want just know why my factory programs are not working?

You have warranty directly from Korg. But I read in other post that your problem is solved. You do not need to open a new post to tell us that :)

what was solution for this problem, i have similar problem, in my pa800 both (rom and ram) samples have distortion, when i play piano it sounds like overdrive guitar, i tried o.s. reinstaling and its the same.... what could be the problem?
