"Chord Trigger" Function+nanoPAD?

Post by highmarcs »

I'm really intrigued by the fact that the soon to be released nanoPAD has what Korg refer to as a "Chord Trigger" function.

Does anyone know if it's chord abilities will be the same as those found on the pads of the M3? The M3 has great chord pad functions, where you can play in or enter in up to eight note chords into each of the pads and they playback with velocity sensitivity etc..

I really hope that Korg just robbed the pad capabilties of the M3 for the nanoPAD. I can't find anything about this on the Korg site and there is no way to contact Korg on there either.

Hello highmarcs,
I purchased one along with a nano key..It does allow 8 notes per pad, assuming you understand chord theory it's fine,but..

No the Nano pad does not come with ANY PRESET chords thus far.. I've been trying to persuade KORG to get the M3,OASYS chords presets on the nano's ..

I was assuming they would have made some nice chord presets that would mimic the stuff on the workstations, but nothing so far..All they would have to do would be release some of their presets for it and this would be a benefit for those of us who do not totally understand chord progressions all the way...

Until then this guy made some nice stuff for them! Apparently he may be also working on a midi learn/note learn type app as well from what I've heard from a friend.. Really nice guy btw..
