Hello everyone.
Since i installed Windows Vista on my computer, i haven't been able to connect and use my Korg M1 with the system. Im running a Core Duo, 3GB ram, Vista Business computer.
The thing is that there never were any troubles before, on Windows XP, using and playing with the Synth in Sonar. But now it won't appear in the "MIDI Devices" list in Sonar, nor pop up in the sound configuration panel.
What am i to do?
My M1 won't!

You might find that your midi device manufacturer has made Vista drivers, but probably not, and that'll be your problem. So, check for the latest drivers.
Most manufacturers aren't updating their hardware drivers to run with Vista because it would cost them money for no return - rather they'd like us to upgrade to some new hardware which is supported, and thereby give them some more money. It makes good business sense but it's not very environmentally friendly. I've got 2 midi devices, 2 sound cards, 1 scanner and a printer that aren't suppored anymore - what a waste!
I'd be very happy to pay some money for updated drivers just like I pay money for updates of software applications, VSTis and other things.
Mike.
