iPhone Users ?.

Post by Sharp »

Hi all.

Any iPhone users here ?. Have to say that I've been the proud owner of a P990i smart phone since they came out ages ago and it was the be all and end all of phones for me. Did absolutely everything.

Still.... been working my ass off and bought myself a very early b-day present of an iPhone and WOW...!!!!! This thing is one fine piece of kit.

My old trusty P990i did everything the iPhone does except for the multi touch features, but nowhere near as sleek and seamless.

By far it has to be the best interface I've ever used on a phone, and the battery life is amazing.

KORG Forums looks great on it too :-)

Regards.
Sharp.

Hi!

I'm going to buy the iPhone from an Apple friend, he's selling his 8GB for buy the 16GB version.
I must say that I've never paied more than 100 euros for a cell, because the cell must do the cell, not something more...
But the iPhone, especially after the release of te SDK, is a masterpiece, I totally love it, so I'm going to buy it I think the next week or so.

You won't regret it, there are still tons of free great apps, now the future is simply brillant!!

Gonna wait 'til an iPhone mk2 is released. The absense of video recording is tragic. Nearly every other, much cheaper modern phone does this!

Hi!

I think it's already hardware-ready for video recordings, it's onyl a matter of software: it will be released for sure as a firmware update, but I'm sure in a few a lot of video-rec apps will be out there developed with the new SDK.

Hanging on to my old Sony Ericsson k810i.
Don´t use the phone that much so not that interested in new models atm anyway. Nice to have in handy if needing to snapshot something tho...
But i agree that the iPhone looks really nice and has nice features.

Just realised the most basic tariff is £35/month. Er.. no thanks!

Thought it might've offered Pay As You Go, but it seems that only one telecom company gets monopoly nationwide (O2 in the UK).

Looks like i'll stick to my trusty Nokia 3330 that I've been using for nearly 10yrs. :)

... with the infamous little Nokia ringtone. http://youtube.com/watch?v=PMNq8K18OGU . Still makes me giggle.

Wow Timo, that's for sure one of the most beautiful phones ever, and I'm not jocking!
Rock-solid, long battery, splitted sms, good organizer...it has all you need from a phone!

I'm currently using a black Nokia 6260 and I'm pretty happy with it.
I really don't understand people paying tons of euros for a phone (probably they don't know they could buy a Blofeld with the same money  ), infact I paied it used from a friend 100 euros, which is a good price/performances ratio...And I must admit I would have stucked with the old Nokia 3200, but on my current I'm running TomTom route software, which is very nice to have if you travel with your car.

About the iPhone, I think it worth its price (or, better, it worth the price I'm going to pay it), I'll enjoy a lot developing apps for it, its SDK is mind blowing.
BTW, I will use it with my actual number (no contract or other fixed costs, it's a rechargeable SIM)...yes, it's already jailbreaked...!
