Is the Irish Act's Organ as good as XMS-2 ?

Post by Flemming M »

Hi. Is Irish Act's "Infinite Organ" soo good that I don't have too bay Xprodata's XMS-2 board that cost 9 times the price.
There are lot of diffent between the demo's one the website.
I use most organ sounds - jazz/rock/ B3 when I play dance music and songs. Not most soloplaying - like Wunderlich.
Sorry my bad Danish/English but I like my PA2xPRO :-)

First - i don´t wanna compare the products with each other cause it´s a totally different beginning.

I can only explain our product a little more

You get a hardware modul from xprodata where all the sounds and drumkits are on - no need to load any samples and can start in a few seconds. Additional we have some styles and performances on CD which you can load (be careful with the performances - don´t overwrite all your performance banks!!!).

For list of sounds and drumkits and all other please take a look here:
http://www.pa1xpro.de/demosEXB2/EXB2_%2 ... _v1.20.pdf

If you´ve any additional questions come back to me please.

Also not comparing, just providing information.

Infinite Organ Assault uses only 6MB of ram, so if you have the Auto PCM load option turned on, you will hardly notice the time to adds to the bootup process. 6MB is nothing, and the Pa1X loads data twice as fast during the bootup process as it does when the Pa1X is fully booted.

There's also a very good reason why I named the library “Infinite Organ Assault”

It's not a collection of sampled organ sounds. All the drawbars where sampled individually, so it's possible to have an Infinite number of sounds. The library provides a large selection of sounds ready to go, but the idea behind the library is that it's open ended. It comes with 8 construction kits that allow you to access the individually sampled drawbars in order to make any type of organ sound you want.

So while it's still technically is a sample library, you really need to consider it more of an instrument than a library.

As for the price, well to be fair you cant compare the two. Infinite Organ Assault is completely software based, where Xprodata provide theirs on a Chip.

Regards.
Sharp.

Flipping heck.... I'm using a voice to text program “Dragon Naturally Speaking” on my laptop and it's picking up the word Organ wrong. How embarrassing.

Ho well... at least it wasn't "Infinite Orgasm Assault".
Then again, that might be a hot little seller.

Hey Sharp,

Were you doing the sound engineering when "Barbarella" was being filmed? I have a feeling the "Orgasmatron" might have been a re-engineered Pa1x with your samples on it ...

Best regards,
Rob
