Wavelab vs. Sound Forge 9

Post by Gorilla »

Hello all. I am in the process of purchasing Wavelab 6 and or Sound Forge 9. Does anyone here know if there is a reason to spend $699 vs. $299 for a mastering software program which inevitably has the same goal in mind?

Any comments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.[/i]

Just a little info. I'm sure you'll get some more posts on the differences.
The Sony trial versions are worth checking out.

Tritex4. Thank you. I have been trying out the Sound Forge demo. Seems simple enough. I just want to be sure it is recognized by the industry as a professional tool. 8)

Tritex, I have decided to go Wavelab 6. They gave me an offer I could not refuse. Since I upgrade to Cubase SX 4 and being a long time customer. I was able to get Wavelab for $399. My upgrade for Cubase 4 is $249. I am not bragging just thankful and grateful. They could have stuck me with $699. for Wavelab. I guess my work is cut out for me. In addition, I have also ordered two video tutorials. I have kissed my family goodbye as I will not see them again for another two years.
