I have a song which opens with a Sound FX of wind etc. (WAV file)
Q: what is the best way of getting that into the Kronos and being able to use it in set list mode with the Combi patch that i need to play over the top of it
I want the WAV to play start/end and i have created a fade in/out on it
Having got it into the Kronos, will it be saved and recalled when i go into set list mode?
Sorry of this is a very basic query, hoping someone has had to do this and can advise
Thanks

This is the short version to use it in a combi: You will need to create a sample (aka multisample) of that wind wav, assigning the sample to a particular key (either a very low key or a very high key is probably best). Save that sample as a KSC and set that KSC to auto load every time you turn on the Kronos. You could also add it to an existing KSC and resave that KSC. Then you will need to assign that multisample in a program, and will need to set up the "hold" parameter so that the sample will play continuously without stopping. Save that program. Then you will need to assign the program in a combi.
The alternative is to copy a combi to a sequencer song and insert the wav file as an audio track, ensuring the song plays for the length of the wav file. Then you would you play the song and play on top of that. This way might be easier, as it's less work, and doesn't require saving samples and programs. You will, however, need to load the song every time you turn on the Kronos.
Both of these options have advantages and disadvantages.
A third option is to skip all of that and play the wav file from a MP3 player or anything really that can play wav files like your computer, which is connected to your mixer or to the audio inputs on the Kronos. If you connect it to your audio ins, it's just a global setting to deal with most of the time, though you could turn off the global setting and have it on an individual program or combi basis.
