A little help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Friends,

So by no means, I am a keyboard player. I’m a drummer, who also has a KorgPa1000 and I can say I’ve learned enough about importing sets and so on.

Our solo keyboard player, has a Kronos 2 which it’s first Korg keyboard. After ordering the Pa5x in July, from SweetWater which all the places are on backorder, he canceled that order and found one at a site called Alto Music, and the Pa5x will be here next week.

So the issue is, he doesn’t really know technology and is relying on me to help him import sets from a Korg Pa4x to a 5x. With the Pa5x, having totally new OS I have seen some youtube videos on how to import 4x sets to 5x. And it has to be imported as a .KST folder? I have also seen some posts here that it first needs to be saved as a .SET?

If someone can walk me through a way they’ve imported their sets, that would be greatly appreciated. And sorry if a post like this has been asked already. Just want to be ready, once his Pa5x arrives.

Sam , all depends of nature of custom resources in Pa4X , if Styles for instance are factory made with same
time signature and not modified End 1 / Intro 1 , then will be translated fine in Pa5X , but must be already
edited since Pa5X has still missing editing functions.

As first you must save Pa4X.SET and then import the whole SET in Pa5X via FILE/MENU/IMPORT , a Pa4X.KST
folder will be created that you can finally load in Pa5X , for more details refer to latest official user manual.
