can't get a loop to play without holding the button down

Korg Electribe Sampler. I had a loop that imported as a wav file. I went into the sample utility to make it loop on the Electribe (set Start Point for loop at 000000). Now, when I assigned it to pad #1, it won't play the sample/loop unless I hold it down the entire time. How can I set it so that touching the pad once triggers the sample/loop to play ?
