Is Editing/ changing Pads Octave possible?

Post by moebrand »

Hi everyone,
I am trying to edit some of the pads that come on my Pa1000 and save them as a new pads with higher or lower octave and I wonder if that is possible, trying + and Minus a octaves while recording the pads does not do anything, is there a way to achieve that ?
Thanks!

Hello Moebrand,
the settings of higher and lower octave in Pad record (same in Style record) only is temporary to set the keys to range you get manuelly for recording.

The best what you can do with a Pad you do not want to record again with notes changed to another octave is to export the pad to an SMF.

Edit this SMF with any software sequencer (Cake, Cubase etc), use it to transpose the notes to the desired octave and use this SMF with the same name (e.g. V1-CV1) to be importet in Pad edit.
kind regards
