Having another senior moment here. On my PA3x there is a "Style Change" button that generates different styles as Sounds are changed. I have accomplished this on my PA4X in the past, but can't remember how I did it. Can anyone give me a virtual slap up the side of my head regarding how to to this.
Thanks,
Papa Pete

style changing
Hi Papapete
I am not sure if this is what you mean, but , if you press the 'style to kbd set'
so that it flashes, every time you press the variation button the sounds change to what has been saved to that particular set.
Best wishes
Keith

Thanks Keith for the timely response. That is a feature I had also forgotten about. I'll try to explain my quandary. As I stated in original message, on the PA3X there is a button situated directly over the performance banks called STYLE CHANGE that changes styles based on whatever performance selection is made. For instance Classic Piano will automatically generate Jazzy Ballad Style. If I then select Octave Piano, Style changes to Classic Cha Cha.
I can't remember how I did that on the PA4X, but I know I did...I think. This is not something very useful while performing in a live situation...but inquiring minds etc. etc. Thanks again.

Selection of style and performance at the same time.
You only could do this with Pa3x, because each performance could be saved with a style-setting and a link to a style. In case StyleChange was active, selecting a performance also causes to select the linked style with the style-setting saved in that performance.PAPAPETE wrote: ... With the Performances (KbdSets) of the Pa4x you can no longer select a style setting by switching the KbdSets. But you can create a Songbook-Entry with the style setting and save the performance in KbdSet#1 of the Sb-Entry.
Style and Kbd-Set are switched via Songbook-Entry - instead of the Performance, you change the Songbook-Entry with same result: selection of style and performance at the same time.
kind regards
