INIT COMBI

Post by davie159 »

Hi folks. I really feel stupid asking this question as I feel I’m missing something on the keyboard itself. I have acquired a Triton Classic which is a nice piece of kit. I have 4 combi banks, A - D which are full of stock sounds. Are there any blank combi’s ? I.E Init Combi. There are blank programme slots (bank E) however I can’t figure out the combi part to allow me to build my own. An option would be to overwrite say Bank D but I really don’t want to go down that route. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Combi D127 * User's Slot * I believe is the one "blank" combi.

You have probably inherited programs/combis modified by the previous owner which differ from the factory preload programs/combis.

The first thing I would do is save all the current programs/combis (all banks) in your keyboard to a PCG file to backup the current contents.

Then if you want to start from scratch with factory preload data you can download the PRELOAD.PCG file from the korg dowload site and load it into your Triton (note that if you select all banks that will overwrite all of those programs/combis).

See https://www.korg.com/us/support/download/product/1/214/ which has lots of good stuff to download including manuals, OS updates, and preload data.

The Voice Name List lists the preload data (aka presets). That's where I saw combi D127 * User's Slot *.

I believe you can just initialize any Combi by opening the menu (upper right hand corner of screen) and selecting “Initialize”
