creating a NEW PAD using FX sounds from drum kits

i have used this magnificent instrument out of the box for many of my songs.
the manual is so badly written.
Would any of you kind hearted souls spend a few minutes going through the procedure to record a NEW PAD from some of the Fx sounds that are in some of the Drum kits. i am at the main page in pad record. From there its a mystery. i did hit METRONOME but im lost.

simply put, i want to create a new multipad that plays FX sounds or for that matter any sound.

i would appreciate the help as i am unable to follow the manual. And to think i got through medical school so much easier than reading this manual.

If the main page of the Pad Record mode will appear press the button "Menue" to be able to use Event Edit, Pad Edit, Pad Track Controls, Pad Chord Table, Import, Export SMF - or use page menue (arrow down in the upper right corner of the display ) to Write Pad, to Exit from Record or what else you want to do.

use EVENT EDIT gives me a style to select
i dont want a style
i want the Drum kit sounds

With Pad Track Control you can select Track Type and Pad Type you want to record.
