Mobile sheets
Hi,
During lockdown I have spent some time learning and setting up MobileSheets. I think I have just about got it sorted now with regards to loading and reading pdf files and I find the programme to be extremely useful. I can even associate my Pa4x songbook with mobilesheets so that one automatically selects the other. Now, my question is, can I use a switch on the Pa4x or the EC5 pedal to operate as a page turner. I am running mobilsheets on an Acer Spin which can be either a laptop or a tablet thereby having a usb or thunderbolt input. Anyone got any suggestions or opinions on commercially available page turners.
Many thanks. Rob

MobleSheets
Greetings,
Mobile Sheets is a great program that I have set up on several tablet devices and a chromebook/tablet. The set list feature is very useful and Mike keeps updating and making the program more useful for musicians. The touch right/left side on touchscreens work good if you don't have a pedal. If you name your songs alphabetically it's easy to find a song.
I use the PageFlip FireFly footswitch with bluetooth (also has mini USB) for page turning. The page forward is usually all I need because if there are places to jump back to I set up the links (up to 10 and color coded) to page jump back to the sign or to the coda. Works great on multi-page scores.
Regards,
Ed

Thanks for your reply Ed, on your recommendation I will go for the Page Flip Firefly. If you can find the time can you explain a bit more about going back to coda signs and repeat signs. Being able to do that would be amazing and your advice would be a great help.
Many thanks Rob

Rob - you might want to check out the Airturn products as well.
Also, I've taken a slightly different approach to repeats, DS, codas, etc. I find it easier to re-copy pages as needed so as never to have to turn backwards. In other words, maybe a 3 page song becomes 5 pages and you just keep turning forward. I even go so far as greying out the parts NOT to be replayed by using the MobileSheets highlite tool.

MobleSheets - Links
Greetings,
To set up links on a song you change the screen from performance mode to overlay disabled (invisible icon menu lower right corner of the screen click on the center icon) this lets you switch between performance mode and overlay mode - then tap the center of the page and all the editing tools will show up.
The link control is in the bottom right side (5th from the right) select it then select the + to create a link on your page. When you tap on the screen where you want the first link, a circle will mark the place on the song - then navigate to the next place that you need to go to. This allows you to keep using the page forward button and when you reach the first link just hit the pedal (or touch the link) and it will take you back to where you want to go ie: 3 page song play to the end make first link to send you back to the first page DS sign then make a link to go from a repeat sign to the Coda.
Change back to performance mode and have fun playing!

MobleSheets Editing Tools
Greetings,
Yes, Download the current manual to keep up with the changes.
Glad you were able to find the editing tools. I have used them to insert lyrics & chords in lead sheets as well as tempo or dynamic settings.
Mike keeps updating and making the program with tools musicians need. A really great software bargain for musicians to organize hundreds of songs in PDF or Png formats on Android or Windows machines.

Ed

Thank you Ed for your suggestions regarding links. I have used Mobile sheets since version 2 came out & find it brilliant especially linking songbook on the Korg to Mobile sheets. I use a Bluetooth page turner (Donner or Strich) & have found it works very well.
I have used the page forward & page back pedal for repeats etc, but will certainly be exploring your method of using links.
Thanks
Tony

I had some time yesterday to experiment with Mobilesheets links as suggested by Ed. Can say that links work as advertised and are easy to set up and use. Just touch or click on the marker and the target page appears! Therein lies the problem though ... I don't want to use a finger and I'm too old to get my toes up to the screen.
I will probably continue duplicating pages and always paging forward with a foot pedal to get "hands free" page turning. BTW, this method is also mentioned in the Mobilesheets manual.
Nonetheless, appreciate Ed calling attention to the links feature. It will probably work very well for some.

MobleSheets cost
Greetings,
You can get the free version to try Mobile Sheets out, but it has a limit on the amount of tunes you can enter (10 I think). The Mobile Sheets Pro has no limit, and is easy to upgrade to the Pro if after testing you think it works for you. It is a great value for an easy way to carry a lot of music with you.
When I have bought a new tablet I was able to install the program from the google play store and then used the export feature to copy my library to the new tablet and everything was copied over which is a nice feature.

Hi Chris - I am running MS Pro v3.0.4 which I think is the current version. It is an excellent program...endorsed by Korg. I started with the free version but Pro is certainly worth the small charge.
I have a lot of sheet music. Mostly in books. I got started with MS by using a small handheld camera to take a picture of each page. I would then edit each page in Photoshop and then bring the pages into MS. Tedious, but done over time, not a big deal. I'm not sure the PS editing is even necessary anymore as MS has auto-cropping and sharpen tools built in. If your music is PDF sheets they can be brought in also. Other formats as well I think.
As you enter the sheets into the program (various means), you can add artist, key, tempo and more. Then you can group into setlists, collections, etc. and sort in many ways. You can also markup your music using the many editing tools.
Suggest, if you haven't already, that you download and glance through the manual. I might have done this a long time ago but if so, I forgot about the links feature and some others as well. For example, you can send MIDI commands from the program as mentioned above. It's quite versatile.
I run MS on an old laptop. HDMI out to an HDMI splitter to two monitors, one for my 4X and one for my Kronos which is across from the 4X (I don't like stacked keyboards - no place for the monitors). Each KB has it's own set of pedals that I have paralleled thru an Airturn device which is Bluetooth to the laptop. This allows me to page forward and back via foot pedals regardless which keyboard I am playing.
Hope this helps.

I have just created a setlist of 80+ sheets but can't find anything in manual that tells me how to rearrange the order of them. I'm sure it's there somewhere but I just can't find it. Any help please.
